Building More than Fences: The Story of Bluff City Fence’s Annual ‘Fence Games’

At Bluff City Fence, our mission is anchored in delivering quality assurance to our customers while also keeping costs manageable. Our philosophy is simple, “our customers’ satisfaction is the yardstick by which we measure our success”. This extends not only to our impactful service offerings but also to the materials we utilize.

As a company, we believe in continual learning and improvement. This year was no different. While our dedicated crew spent the larger part of the year installing fences, we set aside a day to engage them in a friendly competition we christened the “Fence Games.” This fun-filled event served as a platform for our crew to showcase their skills, gain efficiency, bolster their confidence, and foster teamwork.

From constructing gates to concrete races, nailing pickets, post digging, and stretching chain link, our team faced each hurdle with determination and came out victorious. Judging each crew member was based on three factors: Quality, Time, and Efficiency.

Fierce rivalry came into play as they vied for the ultimate prize – a customized Bluff City Championship belt! The atmosphere was buzzing with anticipation as results were contrasted, leaving everyone guessing about the eventual champion.

As the day unfolded, the team spirit and camaraderie became increasingly evident. Each crew member rose to the occasion, standing by their teammates and reiterating the fact that we are united in this journey, likened to a marathon where we walk, not run. This underpins our commitment to exceeding customer expectations while maintaining professionalism amidst adversity.

As the games concluded, there was an air of anticipation among the crew. The award ceremony was about to begin, and the excitement was palpable. Finally, the winners were announced! The youngest among us, Aaron, bagged the first position, demonstrating his skills and sportsmanship, becoming the inaugural winner of the ‘Fence Games’.

The ‘Fence Games’ not only provided an opportunity for our crew members to bring their A-game, but it also allowed us to acknowledge and appreciate their dedication to their craft. As we wrapped up the day, they walked away with newfound knowledge about fencing and the satisfaction of a day well spent.

At Bluff City Fence, we cherish the spirit of teamwork, the constant hunger for learning, and the pursuit of quality. That’s what makes us more than just a fencing company; it makes us a community.
